About the Artist
Colour is the language of the soul to me. I love its vibrancy, the play of light, the layering of textures, and those moments when a painting begins to come alive with its own atmosphere - when something that longs to be expressed emerges through me.
Painting came into my life naturally, as an inner calling to create and express through colour what words sometimes cannot convey. It is a space of freedom, joy, intuition, and connection with myself and with something infinite. I allow myself to be guided by what I feel in the moment and trust the process through which each painting gradually discovers its own form.
My art has evolved over the years, changing alongside me. My artistic journey has taken me from paintings exploring female archetypes to intuitive abstract painting. Each period has brought me something meaningful, and every painting has left its mark on me and shared its own message. Today, I am especially drawn to the freedom of abstraction, where I can let colours, shapes and light speak their own language.
I primarily work in oils, while also exploring acrylics and mixed media. I am fascinated by layers of colour, sculptural textures, and the way light can transform the mood and expression of a painting. In most of my works, I incorporate genuine 24-karat gold leaf, which catches the light and gives my paintings a distinctive radiance. To me, gold symbolises the inner light that each of us carries within, even when we temporarily lose sight of it.
Some paintings mature within me over a long period of time, while others emerge spontaneously in the present moment. Gradually, they unfold before me as vibrant worlds of colour, movement, energy and emotion. Each has its own story.
I hope that everyone who encounters my art will discover something personal within it - a fragment of their own inner universe that resonates with their feelings and thoughts. The sea has always been a great source of inspiration for me, particularly the islands of Dalmatia in recent years. The sea reminds me of freedom, depth and constant transformation. It teaches me to slow down, embrace the present moment and trust what is yet to come. These feelings naturally find their way into my paintings.
A particularly meaningful moment in my artistic journey was my solo exhibition, My Inner Universe, presented in the summer of 2026 at the ceremonial hall of the municipal building in Jelsa, on the Croatian island of Hvar. Sharing my work in a place whose atmosphere and proximity to the sea captivate me was personally and artistically significant.
I am also inspired by nature, femininity, life's transformations, and everything that can awaken sensitivity, wonder and a deeper perception of the world within us. I deeply appreciate that my paintings have found their way into private collections in Slovakia and abroad. Every artwork that finds a new home is a special moment for me. I love the thought that it will continue to live in someone else's space, bringing its own feelings, stories and inspiration, perhaps opening the door to something new.
Alongside painting, I also create original macramé jewellery incorporating minerals. These pieces are made intuitively, with care, attention to detail and personal intention.
Creating is a natural part of my life. It is a journey on which I continually discover myself, evolve and learn to trust what I feel. If my paintings can bring even a little light, beauty, harmony, inspiration or a new awareness into someone's life, then my work has a profound meaning.
I hope my paintings remind us that the light we seek has often been within us all along.
